~ Gladys on The Straits Times ~

Gladys was totally clueless when she was being asked to be part of a photo-taking in one of the Primary 1 classroom on Tuesday. When we showed her the photo on The Straits Times and her school website yesterday, she blushed and read the contents with enthusiasm.

The children now enjoy the new facilities in their school after months of renovation works. I was pretty impressed with the colourful walls and mini stage in her classroom during the Parents Teacher Meet session last month. This is a nice platform where children learn in a more conducive environment and build up their confidence to be confident communicators.

Gladys is very excited and can't wait to share with her friends today. :)

~ Unexpected surprise accompanies River Hongbao visit ~

It was Chinese New Year Eve and I was tired after coming back home late from our River Hongbao visit the previous night. After a refreshing wash-up, I was ready to start my day with a final round of spring cleaning.

As usual, I went to collect the Straits Times papers which is promptly delivered to our home daily and was shocked to see myself appearing on the front page! Couldn't really believe my eyes but it surely was a pleasant surprise. Denver & Gladys were equally amazed and asked when did Mommy pose for this photo without their knowledge?

~ Elephant Parade Photo on MyPaper ~

It was nice to see Denver & Gladys appeared on MyPaper (我报) today. We took this photo at the Singapore Zoo in conjunction with the Elephant Parade. Our kiddos did a ferocious tiger pose with the White-Tiger-Elephant. *Cute! ^_^

Check out our facebook album for more cute photos taken with the Elephants!

~ Candle Night appearance on MyPaper ~

Earlier this week, I shared a group photo of the children on their participation at the Candle Night event with OMY. Was truly delighted to see the photo being featured on yesterday's (11.11.11) My Paper! Cool! ^_^

~ Earth Hour 2011 coverage on TNP & Shin Min ~

Our previous blog post on the Earth Hour has given us an opportunity to be featured on The New Paper on Sunday for the very first time. Many Thanks to Linette for dropping us a note and giving my family a chance to appear on the papers. Thank you Gavin for the photo-takings and Shi-an for the phone interview. It has been an unforgettable experience for all of us.
My colleague later told me that we were also featured on Shin Min Ri Bao and we managed to find a similar article online.

Most importantly, through this event, hopefully it has created more public awareness and more families, homes and offices will continue the effort to this movement even after the Earth Hour has ended.
