Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa Claus has set foot at Singapore Flyer this festive season! From now till 1st January 2013, The Christmas Village will be open to public, featuring Santa's workshop. Christmas market place in European style, various christmassy displays which utilized 2 million LED lights that will brighten the night sky with Singapore Flyer as the backdrop.

Our family was invited to visit the Christmas Village and our kiddos were feeling excited.

Upon entering Santa's Workshop, we were warmly greeted by Santa himself! The kids were surprised as they did not expect to get up close with Santa. Gladys was extremely happy to see Santa and the christmassy toys and decorations.

It was also Denver and Gladys' first time writing their wishes to Santa and the letters will be posted to North Pole!

The workshop is not very big but nicely decorated with a fireplace and toys to give it a cozy and warm feeling of Christmas. There is also a seating area for children to read books or fixing wood crafts.

It has been raining for the past week and the rain welcomed us during our visit as well. We missed out the Santa's sleigh due to the power trip and bad weather. Nevertheless, we managed to take a few photos before it started pouring again. :)

Upon exiting, Denver and Gladys did not forget to drop their letters in the mailbox to Santa.

If you love Santa and taking photos, it will probably take about an hour to complete your visiting at the Village. The kids had interactions with Santa and spent some time roaming in the workshop. Its a shame that the wet weather has shortened our stay at the outdoor area. If not, we can take more pictures and I believe our kiddos will be spending more time playing with the 'snow' (foam). The best time to visit the Christmas Village is in the evening where the displays will be lighted up.

The view from the Singapore Flyer is just as breathtaking as ever. The ~30 minutes ride is a pleasure as you take flight and look at our beautiful country from the very top.

Gladys was feeling very excited, a little bit nervous and insecure about getting near to the glass panels initially. After some warm up and some assurance, she is back to her bubbly, adventurous self once more.

Singapore Flyer is one of the favourite spot to view the F1 Race. You can get a good view of the race event and experience the Vroom Vroom from the top.

The Singapore skyline has changed with the completion of the Marina Bay Sands and the addition of the Art Science Museum and Helix Bridge.

Soon, we will witness the completion of the Supertree Grove and Gardens by the Bay!

This plot of land will sure be a beauty in lights lit up in the night.

While the adults were memorized by the paranoma view, our kiddos are having fun. Denver sure had a good amount of arm exercise for the day and he is not complaining at all!

Denver has been very caring to his new little "sister". Holding her hands, running with her and carrying her around. I felt really heart warming looking at the photos of him holding on to her as they look out of the flyer. They really enjoyed each other's company.

Our final part of the Adventure tour is taking the Open-top bus tour. 

The land ride will take us from the Singapore Flyer, passing by the Esplanade, Clarke Quay, Riverside Point, Old Supreme Court, Padang, Suntec City Mall and finally back to the Singapore Flyer.

That ends our Sky-Land-Sea Adventure for the day. It was a quick weekend break away from the midst of examination preparations that Denver is under-going. Hopefully this serves as a well deserved relaxation for him and he can get his engine back on.

We are back on land and our adventure continues. This time, we met up with a couple of parent bloggers and their kiddos. Very soon, we realised Denver & Gladys have found a new friend! They only got together for a few minutes but the bonding between them makes us felt that they have known each other for ages! They were holding hands together throughout our Sky journey. ^_^

The second part of the tour is visiting the interactive gallery - Journey of Dreams which was officially opened in April 2011. If you ever wondered how the Singapore Flyer was erected, you will find your answers at The Discovery. The round multi-media display (time machine) has a dial where you can turn and observe the various stages in constructing the wheel. Very cool!

The children were having fun with the animated wall that is projecting a myriad of images of rotating circles.

I simply LOVE this picture! It's not easy to capture a nice shot of the kiddos and I love their expression here. ^_^ Adorable!

We moved on to the Fragments of Dreams where you will find torches and another interactive wall depicting a portrait of olden Singapore. As our kiddos shine the torches onto the wall, areas on the wall will be highlighted. This is a combination where Singapore's past and present come together to tell the story of its people's hope and aspirations.

Dream of Reflections - passageway of reflection and award gallery. :)

We are at the final section of the gallery - Reservoir of Dreams. Here you will find 3 artifacts namely the Oneinol's Orb, The Planet and The Numeric. The "Oneroi’s Orb" is a tactile display using spherical and circular objects to represent the dream that shaped Singapore Flyer. I missed taking a photo of "The Planet" which is indicated as an inflated PufferSphere. Finally, "The Numeric" is a fun way to recap on the physics and physique of the Singapore Flyer.

Finally, we are getting on board the Singapore Flyer standing at 165 metres tall with our friends. :)
