Today's project included these little egg shell vases for the Easter table. I used Martha's idea of decoupaging the egg shell with paper napkins. I love the napkins I have so much that I don't want to use them, so this is a way to make them last. I decoupaged the napkin to the egg shell and then sprinkled glitter all over them. They turned out pretty cute! One thing to note, while using a Dremel tool to cut the tops off, watch out! The egg white gets on that little saw blade and is thrown all over the place! I had it all over the side of my cabinet.
I have done something else with the napkins too. It isn't done yet, so I'll have to show it to you tomorrow.

This morning, I took and hour and whipped up a coffee cozy to go with the apron I made. I love how it turned out! There is a ruffle around the top with a row of silk flowers just under the ruffle and then rickrack in the middle between the two fabrics. Then it is tied up with a silk ribbon so that it can be adjusted to accomodate the size of a bigger cup.

Next is the apothocary jar I got at Michaels the other day. I love it. I think it will be really versitile because it looks like a gumball machine or fish jar, etc. Love the pastel colored M&M's that are out right now.

J. brought me flowers this morning. I called him to see if he would pick up some flowers to go in my new egg shell vases and he was already on his way home from the store. I told him what I had wanted and he laughed because he had already gotten me some! How weird is that?
I also put some in the little vase napkin rings that I have on my kitchen table. Here's what they look like. I love these dishes I got at Salvation Army for $.99 each! I got a set of 4.
