THE NEW SPIRIT OF BRITAIN
EXPECT SOMETHING BIG THIS YEAR, this is how P & O FERRIES advertised the arrival of their new ships, the first one debuted on the 21st January 2011, named SPIRIT OF BRITAIN the ship is the biggest ever on the Dover/Calais service, she has 49000 tons, capacity for 1059 cars and 180 lorries, again I agree with P & O when they say this is a new concept on ferry travel, I have sailed twice already on the ship, when you step onboard is like visiting any high street superstore in the UK not what I normally expect from a ships interiors but on this particular case we have to consider this is a 90 minutes crossing and a lot of people are just going shopping for the day so where else better to start than onboard and if you go on holidays this is the best way to begin, one word as well for the crew, really proud of their new ship ( you don´t get this on a plane ), you can have a nice eating experience on the brasserie and even ships buffs have not been forgotten, as there are nautical motives all over the ship related to P & O, really excited for the arrival of SPIRIT OF FRANCE, due for September.
