THE HULL/ZEEBRUGGE SISTERS
The PRIDE OF YORK and the PRIDE OF BRUGES are the two sister ships operated by P & O on the Hull/Zeebrugge route, they both entered service in 1987 for NORTH SEA FERRIES, the YORK was the former NORSEA and was built in Glasgow by GOVAN SHIPBUILDRES and the BRUGES was the former NORSUN built in JAPAN, they were both employed on the Hull/Rotterdam route, they have a GT of approximately 32.000 tons and a cruising speed of 18.5 knots, the capacity is for 850 cars. The mini cruise experience is highly recommended because the wonderful city of Bruges is 10 miles away from where the ships dock at Zeebrugge, passengers have a full day to marvel with this beautiful city. Photos show us the PRIDE OF YORK at berth in Zeebrugge on the 18th of March this year, also at berth in Hull in 2007 and the PRIDE OF BRUGES leaving Hull in 2009, photo taken from the PRIDE OF ROTTERDAM
