Stop! Coal can be Deadly!

Coal as a fuel has been used since centuries ago. Initially, coal changed the history ofthe modern world by encouraging the Industrial Revolution in England, ever since coaldoes not stop changing the face of the world with various trail of damage left behind.

Throughout the cycle of coal utilization is causing irreparable damage to the earth andthe people in it. The life cycle of coal from underground to the toxic waste it generates, usually referred to as the chain of ownership. Ownership chain has three majorchains-mining, burning, until the disposal of wastes. Every part of this chain, causingdestructive force that must be borne by the earth and human beings in it.

The trail of damage left by coal combustion is not stopped in time. At the end of the chain of ownership, there is an abandoned coal mine after being exploited out, burning waste coal, and natural stretch of the damaged and never will be back to normal.

Mines left behind after the exploited discharged, leaving a myriad of problems for the environment and surrounding community. Giant holes, acid mine drainage, and soil erosion is only part of the problem. Expanse of nature that is damaged is a permanent condition that will never recover, no matter how hard the work done to restore it.

Coal combustion wastes are highly toxic, and endanger public health, copper, cadmium and arsenic are some of the toxic substances produced from such waste, each of which triggers the toxicity, renal failure, and cancer.

Each chain in the cycle of coal utilization meyumbangkan damage caused by this dirty energy-each in its own way. This damage is real and deadly.
