Looking for a spring semester internship? Application deadline Friday, February 17

Part-Time Internship at the Project 2049 Institute

The Project 2049 Institute is a non-partisan security policy think tank specializing on the Asia-Pacific region. The Institute seeks to guide decision makers toward a more secure Asia by the century’s mid-point. The organization fills a gap in the public policy realm through forward-looking, region-specific research on alternative security and policy solutions. Its interdisciplinary approach draws on rigorous analysis of socioeconomic, governance, military, environmental, technological and political trends, and input from key players in the region, with an eye toward educating the public and informing policy debate.

We are looking to take on a part-time intern for the remainder of the Spring Semester. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in gaining research experience in Asia security issues. Intern responsibilities include research assistance, contributing to our blog AsiaEye, event planning and administrative support. Hours are flexible, but applicants should be able to commit to at least 15-20 hours per week. A monthly stipend commensurate with time commitment will be provided.

Qualifications:
Background in International Affairs, Asia Studies, Energy Security, or Security Policy
Great writing and copy-editing skills

Knowledge of Japanese, Chinese, or Korean desirable but not mandatory
