This past weekend was set aside for boudoirs. It was super fun! The transformation that the ladies go through from the moment they come to the hotel to when they get make up and hair done professionally, is always a sight to see. Here is a super quick sneak peek of the beautiful Erica :)

HushSessions and MoscaPhoto are uniting for two days next weekend (July 16th and 17th 2011) for a back to back, 8-person, boudoir event. 8 lucky ladies will come to our location, get pampered, get photographed and a few days later... see their beautiful selves in photos! I (Alice) will be your photographer and Misty (HushSessions) will be your art director and stylist. Hair and makeup are available on site should you choose the extra service. It will be fun! I always thought that winning was to be FIRST in everything! This pushes me to be the best I can be, to want to learn new tricks of the trade, to be proud and happy with what it is that I set my mind to do... Well... I can honestly say that I have NEVER been sooooo happy to be NUMBER TWO!! :D This honor in no way diminishes our excitement for our profession; on the contrary! WOW!

That's right! The prestigious Oregon Bride Magazine holds an annual event, honoring the best vendors in the wedding industry. Every year, they open the polls to the general public, who votes for their favorite vendors based on experience with them and actual events worked together. This is a legitimate, honest to goodness, voting poll, in which votes are counted and then the results, announced. We, unfortunately, could not attend the event since we were photographing one of our couples' engagement session downtown, BUT we received texts from Misty (of Luxe Event Productions and Hush Sessions) who was attending and who heard us being mentioned on stage! YAY!

All of our clients and fans voted for us and we could not be more honored to have been nominated as Oregon's best of 2011 photographers! Thank you so much for voting and for thinking the world of us! We think the world of YOU! We seriously could not do what we do without our amazing clients and vendors with whom we have amazing relationships.

We runner ups to the local big studio companies, Holland Studios and Powers Studios, who are also talented and established like us. Congratulations to them too! Being large studios with multiple photographers and editors, they will always beat us in numbers of weddings photographed, which puts our current standing in a much more impressive position! We are right up there with a big studio, while we are just our little selves... just Alice & Josh! SOOOO humbling to have been voted one of the top photographers of Oregon! THANK YOU!

Hush Session's web site is now live and well! Misty Damico of Luxe Event Productions is the mastermind behind this one of a kind service, here in Portland, and she has teamed up with us here at MoscaPhoto! She asked me if I could be the photographer and I more than happily accepted. I understood immediately how unique and essential this service is to our tight little community here in Portland and I am looking forward to working with her AND YOU on more shoots!

Hush Sessions is a full-service bachelorette (or just because!) party organizer. Misty is the director and the one who will put the entire day, or afternoon, or night, or weekend, together flawlessly. All of the vendors involved (from hotel room, to makeup and hair, to limo rides, to VIP seating in local clubs, to photography) will be coordinated to work together to make the party seamless and fun.

I (Alice) am honored to be the photographer! Depending on which "package" the group of friends chooses, I will be there to shoot getting ready images, mini boudoir sessions, and party scenes at the local clubs where the party will end up. Essentially, a whole night's worth of festivities of a group of ladies who want to get away and just plain have fun!

I wanted to share a little Sneak Peek of a project that will, for certain, take Portland by storm. The talented and creative Misty Damico of Luxe Event Productions has asked us to collaborate on this project. I cannot reveal too much until the web site is up and more information and content becomes available... but know that it has everything to do with an Ultimate Bachelorette Party Night! A group of ladies will be showered with VIP treatments, which include mini-boudoir sessions... and oh so much more!
