Walking through the SE streets of Portland - Engagement session!

This was fun! Not only did we really get to know Erica & Ben personally, we had a blast exploring the possibilities of our go-to favorite hotel in town (the Jupiter yay!)... we walked around a few blocks and were surprised by fun murals and cool architecture... and finally we ended the session with a pint of beer at the Doug Fir. A fabulous (non-rainy, yes!) engagement session with an equally fabulous couple. Oh! And also meet Larry the Dog. A two-year old rescue black lab who is SO sweet! He won't be at the wedding, so we definitely had to include him in Erica & Ben's engagement shoot ;)

Here are a handful of the images taken this past Saturday.
We can't wait for their wedding this coming September 29th 2012!

Broadway Bridge and The Pearl engagement session.

Meet Lisa & Chris. They will marry at the beautiful Gorge Crest Winery in Underwood WA at the end of October. We have finally had a chance to hang out with them on their engagement session and we had a blast! The Pearl district here in Portland has a bounty of architecture and views to photographically play with, plus, the weather that day was gorgeous AGAIN! This has been a  beautiful autumn! :) Here is a super quick sneak peek of the session.

Eastbank Esplanade urban engagement session of Barb & Keith.

It seems as if we of MoscaPhoto truly have great luck when it comes to cooperating weather and our shooting schedule! Yesterday was the only time Barb & Keith could have their shoot (they live in Germany, just landed in Portland and are getting married next friday July 22nd!). Both they and we literally drove through torrential rain to get to our designated meeting spot at Portland's Eastbank Esplanade... when we got there, the rain stopped and stayed away for the entire time!

Here are a handful of images from yesterday's shoot. We met in the evening to take advantage of the beautiful sunset-ish light and to give them time to drive to the airport right after, to pick up Keith's mom who was to fly over from England. Definitely on a tight schedule! haha! :)

We did it though! And we couldn't be happier. We got to know them and laugh with them and give Keith a foot-tour of downtown Portland, which he enjoyed very much since it was his first time here! Their wedding will be even more fun now that we have had the chance to work together. Can't wait for it yay! :)

Powells and The Pearl. Amy & Danielle in the city!

{If you click on the Facebook LIKE button to the left, please be sure to click on CONFIRM right after! It's a little bit of an extra step courtesy of Facebook ;) Thank you!!}

WHEW! We have so many fun and loving photos of Amy and Danielle, it't not even funny! ;) Starting off the photoshoot inside of a portland iconic place called Powells City of Books was Amy's idea and we JUMPED on it when she suggested it! The rows of books, the tall ceilings and the dim, warm light all around us, made for a great place to shoot. We had a blast in there! It was a Sunday, however, so we decided to quickly get out before disturbing the natural flow of regular visitors... then, we stepped outside into The Pearl

Walking around the neighborhood, stopping whenever we saw something that inspired us, sharing stories along the way... was truly priceless. Unfortunately, it started raining pretty heavily, so we decided to stop by the Pearl Bakery for a latte and a bloddy mary. Yep! It was awesome! We kept taking a few photos here and there, but mainly, we chit-chatted even more.

These two are inspiring, fun, in love with each other and super excited about their wedding day, which we understood to be suuuuper DIY, since Amy is the queen of crafts! We are SO excited to see them unite in front of 175 people, this coming October at the West End Theater. We are equally as excited to meet up with them again for a part-2-engagement-session SOON, when the weather gets more dry and much warmer. We have a little surprise in store for them and can't wait to reveal it! For now, here are a handful of their In The City engagement shoot. <3
